THE LAST SUPPER
After Holy Communion, let them not leave the church immediately but let them pray for a some extra moments until the Holy Communion they receive will dissolve within them ..until My Blood flows into their hearts and renews their blood.. from the heart that suffuses and animates their whole body. Let them forget about their domestic interests, and by My presence in their soul speak to Me candidly and heartily. My joy is to be with the sons of men, listen to their petitions and give them effective advice. For this they have the best opportunity when they receive Me in Holy Communion. How it hurts me when the people during the church festivals run to Holy Communion straight from the market , distracted and without prayer, approaching to receive Holy Communion with laughter and jokes; or when, after Holy Communion, people leave the church without praying, go to the market and argue with the vendors. – And it hurts me more when they go to the saloon for a snack. They do the same on market days in the cities. They squeeze into the confessionals and the Lord’s Table, but their minds are absorbed on how to sell or buy. Can the confession of these people be good? Can Holy Communion received with such absent-mindedness be acceptable? Let the parish priest teach this and you also where ever you can.”

“Those who desire to receive Holy Communion daily, or even a few times a week, should stand out in their daily lives from their neighbors. They should be more pious, humble, gentle, and patient. They should work more on the sensuality of the body and control the passions. As soon as they wake up in the morning, they should turn their thought to me, hidden in the Blessed Sacrament; before going to church, they should avoid quarrels and try to focus on the spirit. After returning from church, they should keep the same focus and do all duties of state quietly without shouting. This is a terrible phenomenon when people who receive Holy Communion daily are not different from others, because they thus prove by their comportment, that they have received me unworthily, and whoever receives me unworthily will not participate with me in Heaven and the fate of Judas may befall him.”
After these words, the Lord Jesus addressed the Apostles and said:” A little while and you behold Me no longer; and again a little while and you will see Me, because I am going to the Father. “(Jn 16:16) The Lord Jesus arose and left with the eleven Apostles (Judas, the traitor, had already left and went to the Jews) and he came with them to the garden gate – he left them here, and took only Peter, James and John with him and entered into the garden. – The evening has already fallen … I saw that every one of the apostles wept, ibid, pp. 58-63
